“If you’re at sea in the Navy more than 45 days without a port visit, you are allowed two beers,” LeAnn Darland, co-founder of Talea Beer Co., says. The celebration (of sorts) is called “beer day,” and the beers are “old, dusty, hot Budweisers,” Darland says.
