Alcohol Awareness Month 2015

NABCA recognizes that April is Alcohol Awareness Month. To mark the occasion, NABCA acknowledges the action of its control jurisdiction members’ that put forth a great deal of energy to educate and communicate about preventing underage drinking, seller/server training, and responsible alcohol consumption, to list a few of the issues they address. Their efforts create the positive steps that can bring about change and awareness around alcohol.

Control State College Programs: Virginia and Pennsylvania have college alcohol programs.

Virginia and Pennsylvania have college alcohol education programs.

States that follow the control model of alcohol distribution take education seriously as part of their mandate. Many of these states have extensive programs focusing on underage drinking initiatives and other areas of safety prevention. Programs are promoted through social media to reach stakeholders including students, parents and teachers. Many of the education initiatives in control states are partially funded by NABCA Education Grants.
