Purpose of Practice
To increase the number of parents who talk to their kids about alcohol.
Description of Practice
For the second straight year, the WSLCB has purchased ad space in the programs for the high school State Championship events of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. The full page ad is a smaller version of the seasonal "Start talking before they start drinking" posters which are displayed in the state liquor stores and other relevant venues. (The poster designs are attached.) Nineteen events are covered with a potential audience of approximately 220,000 people. In addition, programs are often shared with family members and friends unable to attend the event, increasing the potential reach.
Success or Improvements
This is a cost effective way to reach our intended audience: parents.
