Liquor Commission reports record sales for fiscal year

CONCORD - The state Liquor Commission on Wednesday reported record sales for its most recent year.
Its 80 liquor and wine outlet locations notched $698.2 million in sales during the latest fiscal year, which ended June 30.
The state generated $155.7 million in total liquor profits, which were transferred to New Hampshire's General Fund to be used to support critical programs including education, health and social services, transportation and natural resource protection, according to the commission.

Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board reports record sales

Harrisburg — The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) today released unaudited financial results for fiscal year 2016-17 that reflect record retail sales of $2.53 billion (including liquor and sales taxes), a $95.5 million or 3.9 percent increase over the prior year and previous retail sales record. PLCB contributions to state and local government beneficiaries totaled $764.7 million for the fiscal year, an increase of $138.4 million, or 22.1 percent, over the prior year and previous record.

Local liquor store receives revamp

Customers of One Stop Shop may notice a difference when they check out the shop's liquor section.
One Stop Shop, located inside Austintown Plaza on Mahoning Avenue, is one of six state liquor stores that was selected to have its liquor shelves reset to make the liquor-selection experience better for customers, and ultimately improve sales.

Virginia ABC Named 'Law Enforcement Agency of the Year'

RICHMOND — A community policing initiative, an online training program for those who sell and serve alcohol and effective new measures to stop violent, escalating crimes at licensed restaurants over the past year have earned the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) the Liquor Law Enforcement "Agency of Year" award from the National Liquor Law Enforcement Association (NLLEA).
