Michigan liquor tax could be slashed for small distillers, helping farmers along the way

A proposed law, House Bill 4842, that's poised to be passed by the state Legislature and head to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for her signature, could shift some of those revenues back to small distilleries, create greater opportunity for in-state farmers who grow the necessary crops and result in more authentic Michigan spirits.

State will spend $55 million to build new alcohol distribution warehouse

JACKSON, Mississippi -- In what is sure to be welcome news for alcohol retailers across Mississippi who have struggled to meet demand for the past two years, the Mississippi Legislature agreed on a bill which will result in the construction of a new alcohol distribution warehouse in the Jackson area.
