Michigan State Police uncover 'potential fraud' with breath alcohol testing

Michigan State Police suspended a contract with the vendor that services its breath alcohol testing instruments after the company was found falsifying records and misrepresenting when the devices were calibrated, state police officials said Monday.

New whiskeys, rye (and a hurricane relief rum) coming to Virginia’s state-run liquor stores

The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority is set to add 47 new products to the shelves of state-run liquor stores in 2020, including a rum whose proceeds help fund hurricane recovery in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Zero tolerance for alcohol & drug violations

"In 36 years, I've carried way too many bodies out of road ditches," Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens said. A new study found that Iowa has the nation's 16th highest rate of drunk driving arrests. Iowa's rate of DUI/OWI arrests in 2018 was 375.2 per 100,000. The national average was 330 per 100,000.
