Utah restaurants, nightlife and law enforcement prepare for .05 DUI law to take effect

The blood alcohol level will be lowered from .08 to .05. Hospitality and tourism groups are trying to mitigate any negative impacts by pushing a new campaign to remind people they can keep drinking -- just leave the car at home.

85 years ago today, Utah voted to end alcohol prohibition

SALT LAKE CITY — It was on this day in 1933 that Utah cast the deciding vote to repeal alcohol prohibition in America. Headlines across the country blared that Utah was the vote that approved prohibition repeal under the 21st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Charleston, W.Va. –  Underage drinking impacts youth and families across West Virginia. Approximately 9.3 million youth in the United States ages 12-20 (24.3% of this age group) reported drinking alcohol during the past 30 days (SAMSHA 2013).
