Dallas Bar Hit with $25 Million Wrongful Death Verdict After Fatal Drunk-Driving Crash

DALLAS, Dec. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A Dallas jury has returned a $25 million wrongful death verdict against a Dallasnightclub and related parties, finding that the club served too much alcohol to a Dallas Cowboys player who later crashed his Mercedes, killing his friend and teammate Jerry Brown who was a passenger in the car in the 2012 accident.

Non-Compliant Licensees Found In CA

The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) announced that ABC agents investigated 70 Type 75 Brew Pub Restaurants and discovered nearly 50 were not in compliance with their licenses, by either not brewing beer at all, not brewing quantities for service consumers expect of a legitimate brew pub, or were otherwise not functioning as a brew pub.

Traffic accidents are eighth leading cause of death globally, according to WHO

(CNN)The number of traffic-related deaths reached a high of 1.35 million in 2016, according to the 2018 Global Status Report on Road Safety, released by the World Health Organization on Friday. It has also moved up to the eighth leading cause of death for people of all ages, ahead of HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.
