TTB Updates to the Semi-Annual Regulatory Agenda

Last week in its regular newsletter, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) announced updates to the Fall edition of the semi-annual Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions (Regulatory Agenda). Like other federal agencies, TTB uses the Regulatory Agenda to report on its current rulemaking projects.

Irish whiskey lifted spirits with exports of €412m

Irish whiskey led strong growth in the value of spirits exports from the Republic to almost €650 million, industry figures show.  A new analysis of the drinks industry from the Alcohol Beverage Federation of Ireland shows that the sector exports €1.1 billion a year to 130 countries.

3.2 beer phase out: Anheuser-Busch warns they could go from 20 brands to 12 in some states

UTAH -- Lighter beers may soon be harder to find in some states out west, as big breweries phase them out.
"Starting probably early to mid-2018, you're going to see many of the products in the grocery and convenience stores today will begin to disappear," Jim Olsen with the Utah Beer Wholesalers Association said.
