15% alcohol tax supported by most Bethel voters

Anchorage (KTUU)-The first legal alcohol sale in Bethel was in April of 2016 taxed at 12%. On Tuesday, unofficial election results showed close to 60% of the city's voters approving an increase in the tax to 15%.

Record 'pay-to-play' fine on beer distributor upheld by Mass. judge

A Massachusetts judge on Monday upheld the state's ban on so-called pay-to-play payments in the beer industry, rejecting the arguments of a craft beer distributor that had challenged the rule after getting slapped with a record fine for compensating bars to put its products on tap.

Colorado bans pot gummy bears, other edibles appealing to kids

DENVER — A ban on gummy bears and other edible marijuana products shaped like animals, people and fruit takes effect this month in Colorado — a change aimed at decreasing the likelihood small children will mistake them for a favorite treat.

Enid area prepares for alcohol modernization

Liquor retailer group supports Sunday sales

The Indiana Association of Beverage Retailers reaffirmed support for legislation that would change Indiana law to allow for the sale of alcohol for carryout on Sundays at retail locations like liquor stores and grocery stores.
