MN tops the country in binge drinking. Why?

ST PAUL, Minn. — According to the Department of Health, Minnesota has one of the highest rates of binge drinking in the nation. Binge drinking is defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as having, for women, four or more drinks in about a two hour period. For men, it's five or more in that same time period.

NY Senate Once Again Tries to Allow Alcohol in Movie Theaters

The New York State Senate is once again trying to pass a law that would allow the sale of alcohol in movie theaters. Lawmakers have tried before but failed. Some may be a bit confused about all this, for there are theaters in the state that do allow the sale of alcohol, though the establishment has to be classified as a restaurant in order to do so.

DWI Ignition Locks Take Effect

Starting Sunday, December 1st, anyone convicted of DWI in the Garden State, even for a first offense of .05%, which is below the legal limit of .08., will have to install a so-called “ignition interlock device” in their car to prevent them from driving with alcohol on their breath.
