Project targets minors’ alcohol access

LANCASTER — Stephen Updyke and Desirae Tainatongo of Tarzana Treatment Centers sought the Lancaster Criminal Justice Commission’s support for a voluntary Merchant Committed program designed to help merchants prevent sales and access of alcohol to minors and help diminish its appeal among the Valley’s youth.

Tribes open comment period on amendment related to sale of liquor

NESPELEM – The Colville Confederated Tribes have opened for public comment a proposed amendment to the Colville Tribal Code that would “provide for the introduction, sale, distribution and possession of packaged spirits” on properties owned by the Colville Tribes, according to a proposed code amendment cover letter released by ORA, June 21.
