    NH Liquor Commission Named Best Liquor & Wine Control State in the Country

    Concord, NH — The New Hampshire Liquor Commission (NHLC) is the best liquor and wine control state in the country, according to StateWays Magazine, the only nationwide magazinedevoted to issues and subjects impacting the control state system. StateWays Magazine honored NHLC's "Granite State Greatness" as the best overall control state in its 2017 StateWays Best Practices Awards. In recognizing NHLC, StateWays cited NHLC's record sales, warehouse innovation, commitment to offering unique and exclusive products, and its ambitious effort to renovate and relocate its 80 New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlets. New Hampshire is one of 16 states in the nation that control the sale and distribution of beverage alcohol.

    Drinking in a canoe is illegal in Canada, but that could soon change

    Tipsy canoeing may soon be a thing — at least, if the Canadian government relaxes some of its impaired driving laws.

    Throughout Canada, it's currently illegal to drink and boat. If you're found to be under the influence while in a canoe, kayak, raft, or other recreational water vessel, it's like being caught drinking and driving a car. That may change with a bill to decriminalize drunken boating that's up for vote.

    CLEVELAND - It's time for a retail reset and Ohio is looking into changing how it sells alcohol.
    The Ohio Division of Liquor Control has rolled out a new plan in six stores across the state, rearranging the merchandise and moving inventory to better group items, help consumers find interesting brands and possibly try new drinks.

    Liquor control commission does not keep all the money

    On Monday, Oct. 9, the Fenton City Council is expected to set a public hearing to take place during its regular meeting of Monday, Oct. 23, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The public hearing will give citizens and affected businesses a chance to share their thoughts and opinions on a proposed resolution to charge liquor license application fees.
