    Alcohol Beverage Control Board votes to prevent distilleries from serving mixed drinks

    On Jan. 23, the Alaska Alcohol Beverage Control Board voted 3-1 to approve new regulations prohibiting distilleries from serving and mixing cocktails. These new rules would require distilleries to serve the alcohol separately from the non-alcoholic ingredients, such as orange juice or cream. It would be up to the customer to mix it.

    Mississippi Could Let Distillers Sell Alcohol To Visitors

    JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi lawmakers could allow visitors to buy alcohol directly from distilleries, after agreeing to let visitors buy beer at breweries last year.  The House Ways and Means Committee on Thursday approved House Bill 995, sending it to the full House for more debate.

    OLCC toughens penalties for underage marijuana sales

    PORTLAND, Ore. - The Oregon Liquor Control Commission approved a temporary rule Thursday increasing the penalties for marijuana retail licensees that sell marijuana to minors.  The rule includes a provision to revoke an individual’s marijuana worker permit if the permittee intentionally sells marijuana to a minor.

    New Mexico county officials approve liquor sale restriction

    GALLUP — A northwestern New Mexico county has passed a resolution that will ban liquor sales before 10 a.m.

    The Gallup Independent reported the McKinley County Board of Commissioners passed the early liquor sales restriction in a 2-1 vote Tuesday.
