OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Supreme Court has overturned a lower court ruling that hundreds of restaurants in the state overcharged customers for mixed drinks.
Lawsuits filed in 2011 by Tom Erbar and John Truel alleged restaurants overcharged by adding a 13.5 percent liquor tax to advertised price of mixed drinks.

RACINE — People licensed to sell alcohol in Racine could become subject to a demerit point system that monitors compliance with local rules and state laws.
The system was first proposed by City Attorney Scott Letteney in July and revisited this month by Racine’s Committee of the Whole.The city’s first microdistillery with a tasting room will open next month. Dead Reckoning Distillery, a small-batch rum maker, plans to offer its first tours and tastings Jan. 12.
PORT HURON, Mich. (AP) — Michigan lawmakers are working on a bill to allow out-of-town veterans to buy drinks at clubs run by the Veterans of Foreign Wars or the American Legion.
Under current law, veterans from out of town must rely on the generosity of others if they want a drink. The Michigan Liquor Control Commission says drinks can only be sold directly to local members at clubs, although the restriction isn't always followed.
The Joint Interim Revenue Committee approved a bill proposing a 3 percent increase in the maximum state profit on sales of wine and spirits earlier this month. The proposal will now be introduced when the Legislature meets Feb. 12 and needs a two-thirds approval to officially go to voting.
WHITEHORSE — Concerns from national alcohol companies have prompted the Yukon Liquor Corp., to stop putting warning labels about the risk of cancer on all bottles and cans sold in the Whitehorse liquor store, at least for now.
