    MADD campaign urges parents to speak with children about dangers of alcohol

    MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. - Mothers Against Drunk Driving is behind a campaign in collaboration with the State Attorney's Office that focuses on prevention efforts by encouraging parents to begin ongoing conversations with their children about alcohol.

    Initially, training costs prevail but over the life of the proposed program, benefits exceed costs.     Alcohol policy check-in

    Six months after the university updated its alcohol policy to include a ban on large containers of hard liquor in student residences and prohibited hard alcohol at undergraduate parties, there has been an encouraging decline in the number of students needing alcohol-related emergency medical aid or receiving police citations for alcohol offenses, according to statistics from fall and winter quarters.
