    N.H. House Passes Bill to Allow Entertainers to Drink Alcohol NHPR

    The New Hampshire House has passed legislation that would allow workers to drink on the job, in very limited circumstances. The bill was approved Thursday. It would allow entertainers and dancers in establishments that serve alcoholic beverages to drink while performing.

    Senate rejects alcohol, drug treatment fund mandate

    CONCORD, N.H. - The New Hampshire Senate has rejected a bill that sought to mandate the state devote 5 percent of profits from liquor sales to alcohol and drug abuse prevention programs.  While state law already specifies that 5 percent of liquor profits should be set aside for such programs, the actual amount has fallen short.

    House approves merger of lottery and liquor control

    The Vermont House on Wednesday approved the merger of the Vermont Lottery Commission and the Department of Liquor Control.  The bill, H.571, which would create the Department of Liquor and Lottery, would allow for the sharing of resources and could lead to long-term savings, the bills sponsors said.
