CHRIS GRAHAM VOTED INCOMING CHAIR-ELECT TO NABCA BOARD

ARLINGTON, VA (April 22, 2025)—Chris Graham, Commissioner, Department of Revenue, State of Mississippi, was voted incoming chair-elect to the NABCA Board of Directors. He will assume his responsibilities in May 2025, when current Chair-Elect Kathie Durbin, Director, Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS), becomes NABCA Chairwoman of the Board.

“I am grateful and honored to be elected to this role with NABCA,” said Graham. “For eighty-seven years, NABCA has supported states by helping them navigate the complexities of alcohol regulation and distribution within their borders and by promoting responsible and efficient systems. Additionally, NABCA has an important responsibility to support efforts in protecting public health and safety. I’m looking forward to continuing our success of these objectives and toward strengthening collaboration among our member jurisdictions to address emerging challenges in the beverage alcohol landscape,” he said.

Graham joined the NABCA Board in 2020. He has served as chair on several NABCA committees including Distribution Center Logistics, Public Affairs and Regulatory. He was vice chair for the Finance Committee and served as a member on the Brokers Advisory, Chairman and Chairwoman’s Task Forces, Finance, Governance, Industry Relations, Internal Affairs, Pension Plan Trustees, Public Affairs, and Public Health Advisory committees.

Governor Tate Reeves appointed Graham as Commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Revenue (DOR) in July 2020. He works with a team of over 560 employees. The DOR collects tax revenues that fund state and local government in Mississippi; titles and registers motor vehicles; monitors ad valorem tax assessments; enforces Mississippi's Prohibition and Local Option Law; operates as the wholesale distributor of alcoholic beverages; and licenses, regulates and enforces the law for medical cannabis dispensaries in the state.

“Chris’ impressive scope of experience within Mississippi and the Department of Revenue and his broad responsibilities within the department, including oversight of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division, will be an asset to NABCA as it continues moving forward in this ever-changing marketplace and world,” said Neal Insley, NABCA president and CEO. “His participation on numerous NABCA committees demonstrates his understanding of the Association and I look forward to working with him as a future chairman,” added Insley.
