The Event Provides Current Content About Alcohol Beverage Law and Regulatory Matters

ARLINGTON, VA (February 22, 2021) -- NABCA’s 28th Annual Symposium on Alcohol Beverage Law & Regulation, offers attorneys, government officials and industry professionals a carefully curated agenda of topics that demonstrate the transformational trends that affect the alcohol beverage industry and its future growth. Due to COVID constraints, the event will be virtual March 15 – 16.

Highlights of a few presentations include:

Bernard Kuiten, Head of External Relations at the World Trade Organization, will join NABCA during Monday's opening session, Trade Wars, Tariffs, and Tied-House. Mr. Kuiten will discuss international trade compliance through the lens of various policies, procedures, and global politics. His expertise at the forefront of global trade relations and his analysis will prove beneficial to anyone attempting to model global dynamics.

Following Mr. Kuiten’s presentation, will be the State of Federal Review where an expert panel will discuss the potential implications of cases pending in federal circuits across the country.  The presenters will be John Neiman, former U.S. Supreme Court clerk and Solicitor General of Alabama, and Debbie Skakel, a Partner with Blank Rome specializing in business litigation.

Regulators from California, Utah, Virginia and TTB will address the difficult issue of identifying which of the emergency measures that were birthed because of COVID should be made permanent. During Unmasking the “New Normal” of Alcohol Regulation, panelists will also discuss operational lessons learned during the pandemic and the changes in enforcement priorities or drafting which have proven most effective.

In addition to hearing from leading industry experts, CLE credits will be available in most states.
