Legislators look to lessen legal consequences of underage drinking

North Dakota’s current underage drinking law carries penalties up to 30 days in jail and a $1,500 fine. A bipartisan bill would change that.

Gov. Murphy Gives Seasonal Establishments OK to Serve Alcohol through Next January

Why didn't a plan to expand takeout alcohol sales for bars, restaurants pass the Senate?

Allowing bars and restaurants to sell takeaway cocktails and increase the amount of beer and wine people can buy with to-go orders is a way to help the industry hit hard by the pandemic and COVID-related shutdowns.
