Minn. Bill Seeks Tax Credit For Liquor Businesses Amid Virus

Minnesota would allow a tax credit for brewers, liquor retailers and wholesalers who have had to temporarily close or impose safety measures because of the novel coronavirus pandemic under a bill introduced Monday in the state Senate.

New Mexico Legislature approves liquor license overhaul

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — The New Mexico Legislature sent a bill to the governor that would overhaul state liquor regulations in an effort to invigorate the hospitality industry.

State House Advances Bill Allowing Liquor Stores To Offer Samples

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - State lawmakers say they're willing to give liquor stores a shot at handing out samples, but not everyone was saying cheers to the legislation. 
House Bill 1098 would allow retail liquor stores offer free samples of wine, beer and liquor.

Legislature: House Passes Alcohol Deliveries For New Mexico’s Restaurants

Overdose-Related Deaths Increase Amid Covid-19 Pandemic

Between January and September of 2020, there were 2,025 unintentional intoxication deaths involving all types of drugs and alcohol in Maryland, a 12.1 percent increase from the same period in 2019, according to a report from the state’s Opioid Operational Command Center.

Permanently-reduced excise taxes for craft beverage industry are included in end-of-year legislation

WASHINGTON (NEWS10) – The Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act (CBMTRA), which will permanently reduce excise taxes for brewers, vintners, cider makers, and distillers and remove regulatory barriers, will be included in the end of year legislation.
