Wedding barn owners, conservative legal group plan suit against Evers administration to settle debate over liquor licenses

MADISON - Two farmers who rent out their barns for weddings and a conservative legal group are suing Gov. Tony Evers and his administration to prevent such venues from needing liquor licenses to operate.

The new year ushers in the first Sunday wine sales in Tennessee grocery stores

Those of-age in the Vanderbilt community can now purchase wine seven days a week at their local grocery store beginning Sunday, Jan. 6. HB 1540, passed in April 2018, altered state alcohol laws, including permitting grocery stores to sell wine on Sundays between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m.

CT craft distillers say tight regulations holding back industry's growth

The state's growing craft distillers industry is banding together to push for legislation that would allow them to sell cocktails at their production facilities and offer visitors more bottles for off-site consumption...similar to the way beer brewers have grown their fan base.
