Alcoholic Beverages Division issued record number of licenses in last fiscal year

There were more places than ever to buy alcohol for a New Year’s Eve party in the state. Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division spokesman, Tyler Ackerson, says the fiscal year that ended in June showed an increase in licenses.

First liquor store opens in Dayton

Nearly a year and six months after Dayton residents passed a referendum to allow for liquor stores within the city limits (274-138), the city’s first-ever liquor store has officially opened for business.

'Place of Last Drink' proposal looks to decrease drunk drivers

FARGO, N.D. (KVLY) The Liquor Control Board is scheduled to hear a proposal tomorrow night on a new way to keep bars in the Valley responsible.  The program is called POLD, standing for Place of Last Drink.

California senator pushes for 4 a.m. bar closing time -- again
