New Illinois Law Allows Breweries to Sell Guest Beer and Cider in Taprooms

A bill signed into law last weekend by Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner will allow the state’s breweries to purchase and sell guest beer and cider in their taprooms.

More than 90 percent of Coloradans suspected of DUI had been drinking, only 6 percent used marijuana, state study shows

The vast majority of Coloradans suspected of driving under the influence in 2016 had been drinking, but only a small fraction had used marijuana, says a first-of-its-kind study of DUI cases published by the state Division of Criminal Justice.

Bill to Extend Last Call to 4 A.M. at LA Bars Gets Pushback

A bill under consideration in the state Legislature that would allow alcohol to be sold in bars past 2 a.m. in seven cities including Los Angeles was opposed Monday by City Councilman Paul Koretz and a group of activists who said it could lead to more drunk driving accidents and other problems.
