ALEXANDRIA, VA (January 24, 2019)—A. D. "Zander" Guy, Jr., Chairman, North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission (NC ABC Commission), was voted chair-elect to the NABCA Board of Directors.
During January, nine-liter control states spirits case sales grew 2.1% over same period sales last year. Alabama (7.8%), Idaho (4.0%), Iowa (11.5%), Maine (5.1%), Michigan (4.0%), Mississippi (7.4%), Montana (25.6%), North Carolina (5.9%), Ohio (4.5%), Utah (4.0%), Vermont (3.1%), West Virginia (3.1%), and Wyoming (10.1%) reported monthly growth rates for January that exceeded their twelve month trends.
ALEXANDRIA, VA (January 25, 2018)—Daniel W. Noble, director of the Wyoming Department of Revenue, was voted chair-elect to the NABCA Board of Directors. He will assume responsibilities of this position in May 2018, when current chair-elect Jeffrey L. Painter, chairman of the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (Virginia ABC), becomes NABCA Chairman of the Board.
During November, nine-liter control states spirits case sales, influenced by reporting anomalies in Michigan and Utah and in spite of a rather strong comp, grew 6.6% over same period sales last year. Alabama (4.3%), Michigan (25.9%), Mississippi (1.6%), Montana (5.3%), North Carolina (3.8%), New Hampshire (4.5%), Utah (28.2%), Virginia (4.8%), Vermont (3.4%), West Virginia (3.8%), and Wyoming (4.5%) reported monthly growth rates for November that exceeded their twelve month trends.
During October, nine-liter control states spirits case sales, stimulated by pyknic sales of Tequila and Cocktails as well as an asthenic comp, grew 3.5% over same period sales last year.
During August, nine-liter spirits case sales in the control states grew, in spite of a strong comp, at a rather brisk 4.9% rate over same period sales last year. Alabama
During July, nine-liter spirits case sales in the control states grew 0.5%, in deference to a weak comp, over same period sales last year. Ten of the eighteen control jurisdictions grew volumes at 0.5% or less during July. Rolling-twelve month volume growth of 2.8% improves upon June's reported 2.4%. Iowa (14.5%), Michigan (4.7%), Vermont (2.8%), and Wyoming (7.3%) reported monthly growth rates for July that exceeded their twelve month trends.
During June, nine-liter spirits case sales in the control states grew 7.7%, in spite of an impressive comp, over same period sales last year.
During May, nine-liter spirits case sales in the control states grew 3.7% compared to same period sales last year.
