    Alcohol-related deaths among UK women at highest rate in 10 years

    Alcohol-related deaths among women in the UK have reached the highest rate since 2008, statistics have shown. There were eight deaths per 100,000 women in 2017, according to the Office for National Statistics – a similar level to when ONS records began in 2001.
