    Glidewell Distributing transfers large portion of beer, alcohol brands

    ARKANSAS - Glidewell Distributing, a statewide beer and wine distributor based in Fort Smith, announced Friday it was selling off a large portion of the alcohol brands it carries to Central Distributing and Moon Distributors in Little Rock.

    Control State Spirits Sales Top 50 Million Cases

    Distilled spirits sales increased 2.5% in control states to 50.4 million cases in 2017, according to the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA). It’s the first time ever that spirits volume has exceeded 50 million cases in control jurisdictions, although last year’s gain represented a slight slowdown from 2016’s 2.8% increase.
