Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) sponsors the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) providing up-to-date information on tobacco, alcohol, and drug use, mental health and other health-related issues in the United States among people 12 years and older. NSDUH began in 1971 and is conducted every year in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. SAMHSA is under the Department of Health and Human Services.
