Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) public health surveillance systems include the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) and the Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System (YRBSS) and are used to monitor trends in adult and youth alcohol consumption patterns and to assess related health impacts. The CDC is an operating division of the Department of Health and Human Services. These surveys are conducted during the spring of odd-numbered years and results are released in the summer of the following year.
