Total Control States for June 2022 declined by -2.0% in 9L volume with negative -0.4% in $Vol showing a resultant +1.6% price mix. This is a decline on the rolling 12-month results of +0.5% in 9L volume and +3.6% in $Vol.
During the Pre-COVID period, which ended February 2020, the on-premise marketplace in the control states averaged 18.0% share of the 9-liter case spirits market. Beginning March 2020, the control states’ on- and off-premise markets moved capriciously as opposed to their historically consistent, periodic behavior.
During April nine-liter control states spirits case sales grew -1.6% over same period sales last year under the influence of a monster comp (17.5%) and calendar anomalies. Mississippi(-1.3%) and New Hampshire(-3.0%) reported monthly growth rates for April exceeding their twelve-month trends.
During the Pre-COVID period, which ended March 2020, the on-premise marketplace in the control states averaged 18.0% share of the 9-liter case spirits market. Beginning March 2020, the control states' on- and off-premise markets moved capriciously as opposed to their historically consistent, periodic behavior.
During March nine-liter control states spirits case sales grew -0.6% over same period sales last year. Montgomery County Maryland(15.7%), Utah(30.3%), Vermont(3.0%), and Wyoming(3.7%) reported monthly growth rates for March exceeding their twelve-month trends.
